Run the retail store
B.C. SUPPLIER SOFTWARE COMPARISON
Know what to keep.
Know what is still missing.
Cova and Greenline run the store. Shopify and wholesale platforms can capture demand. Seed-to-sale systems run licensed production. BC Direct Delivery controls the supplier-side B.C. transaction between the accepted order and month-end review.
THE HONEST BUYING DECISION
Choose the tool for the job you actually need done.
We are not a cheaper version of every cannabis platform. Most of these products solve a different layer and can stay in place.

The public price, their job, and where we fit.
Prices below are taken from vendor pages reviewed on August 30, 2026. We do not publish guessed prices when a vendor requires a sales conversation.
Retailers register to buy. No separate supplier software price is published on the public site.
Astra Life Sciences operates a curated marketplace where licensed B.C. retailers browse, order, track, and reorder participating products.
BC Direct Delivery does not sell or curate the supplier's cannabis. It controls the supplier's own orders, fulfillment evidence, receiving exceptions, credits, invoice obligations, and month-end review across existing retailer relationships.
Retailer accounts are free. Brand and distributor pricing requires a sales quote; Distru states that it charges zero per-order commission.
Branded wholesale menus, inventory-aware ordering, pricing tiers, invoices, COAs, order tracking, retailer reordering, and U.S. compliance integrations.
BC Direct Delivery starts with the B.C. supplier's operating record and the provincial Direct Delivery handoffs. It is not positioned as a replacement branded storefront or a U.S. compliance ERP.
LeafLink says brand pricing varies by volume and location. Retailer shopping accounts are free.
Connects brands, distributors, and retailers through a large wholesale marketplace with ordering, payments, advertising, and market insights, primarily in the United States.
BC Direct Delivery is not trying to create a continent-wide buyer network. It gives a B.C. supplier control over the retailer accounts and Direct Delivery transactions the supplier already owns.
Boutique is $399 with Cova Pay or $459 without. Powerhouse is $499 with Cova Pay or $599 without. Enterprise is custom.
Runs the retailer's checkout, store inventory, ecommerce, retail reporting, and other in-store operating functions.
Keep Cova. BC Direct Delivery focuses on the supplier-to-store record before and after POS entry: accepted order, allocation, shipment expectation, receipt variance, credit, and supplier month-end evidence.
$5,500 CAD annually per store, enterprise custom. Greenline also lists a $35 per-store third-party integration fee.
Runs retail point of sale, inventory, ecommerce, compliance, reporting, and connected store applications.
Keep Greenline. BC Direct Delivery carries the shared supplier transaction and its exceptions around the store system, using an approved CSV or operator-assisted handoff until any direct provider operation is certified.
Shopify Plus starts at $3,400 CAD monthly. Payment, application, and implementation charges can be additional.
Publishes products, accepts online orders, manages general ecommerce, and supports B2B catalogs on eligible plans.
Keep Shopify if it works as the order door. BC Direct Delivery carries the regulated wholesale transaction after checkout through allocation, delivery evidence, receiving, credits, and BCLDB month-end preparation.
Canix says pricing depends on jurisdiction, licensing structure, and facility size.
Manages cultivation, manufacturing, inventory, compliance reporting, and broader licensed-facility operations.
Keep the seed-to-sale system. BC Direct Delivery addresses the commercial and operational handoffs between a B.C. supplier and its Direct Delivery retailer accounts.
Both companies route public buyers to a demo or sales conversation rather than publishing a numeric software price.
MainStem focuses on multi-supplier procurement, approvals, purchase orders, receiving, and spend. Apex presents a broad enterprise wholesale cannabis platform.
BC Direct Delivery is deliberately narrower: one B.C. program, one supplier-owned order-to-cash record, a bounded founding audit, and no enterprise migration required to test the workflow.
All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. This is an independent comparison based on public vendor materials. It does not imply affiliation, endorsement, technical integration or certification.
THE DIFFERENCE IN ONE LINE
Keep the systems. Stop rebuilding the supplier transaction between them.
Founding pilot controls
- Structured email, approved CSV and operator-entered order intake
- Retailer, SKU, price, case count and terms review before approval
- Allocation, fulfillment, shipment and receiving evidence on the order
- Shortage, damage, return, replacement and credit follow-through
- Invoice obligations and external settlement references
- BCLDB month-end evidence preparation with unresolved items visible
Deliberate boundaries
- No consumer checkout or retail point of sale
- No cultivation or seed-to-sale replacement
- No marketplace fee or percentage of wholesale sales
- No claim of automatic BCLDB filing
- No Cova or Greenline provider write until separately certified
- No role as the licensed seller or payment processor
If the hidden work is not worth $299 a month, do not subscribe.
The $500 audit reviews one month, up to 10 retailer accounts and 25 SKUs. It should reveal the order re-entry, open exceptions, credit aging, invoice follow-up and month-end reconstruction using the supplier's approved records. The written recommendation is to proceed, narrow the scope or stop.
PLAIN ANSWERS
What a supplier should ask before adding another tool.
Does BC Direct Delivery replace Cova or Greenline?
No. Those systems run important retailer operations. The founding pilot uses approved CSV or operator-assisted handoffs and focuses on the supplier transaction and shared receiving exception around the store system.
Does BC Direct Delivery replace Shopify or a wholesale marketplace?
No. Shopify, Direct2RetailBC, DistruCommerce or LeafLink can remain the order door or discovery channel. BC Direct Delivery is designed to control the supplier-side record after demand appears, including fulfillment, receipt, resolution and month-end preparation.
Why would a supplier pay for another system?
It should not pay merely for another login. The $500 audit measures duplicate work, unresolved exceptions, credit aging, invoice follow-up and month-end reconstruction. A subscription is proposed only if the observed burden justifies it.
How current are the competitor prices?
The public pages linked in this comparison were reviewed on August 30, 2026. Quote-only means the vendor did not publish a numeric software price on the reviewed public page. Vendors can change pricing, packaging and availability at any time.
